Photo Journey through Galway, Ireland

Galway was our home spot for a few days and we had some pretty wet weather, but that was not going to stop us!  We bundled up and ventured into the city.  Galway is primarily filled with shops and pubs, which makes for a perfect tourist destination.

One of the oldest sights in Galway is the Spanish Arch built in 1584.  The arch is remaining from the days when Galway was a walled city.

The River Corrib runs through Galway and empties into Galway Bay near the Spanish Arch.  The water was so high you could hardly see the arches of the bridge!

The Irish are also a big fan of President Kennedy.  He has a memorial stone in the main park in Galway.  They also happened to have portions of his speech playing in the airport.

And last but certainly not least, hanging out with our friend Deborah in her home country surrounded by Druid sights was a ton of fun!
